The Partnership acquired the Liverpool branch in 1940 Over 60 years of trading from this location has established John Lewis as a key retailer in Liverpool city centre
In October 2003, John Lewis announced a muti-million pound investment in a new, full range department store, the principal anchor in Grosvenor’s 920m Liverpool 1 development. The new shop, 40% bigger than the existing branch will be the largest John Lewis store in the region.
We are delighted that in 2008, Liverpool’s capital of culture year, we make our landmark move to our new branch. We are proud to show the people of Liverpool that we are committed to the future of Liverpool city centre and as an 08 friend we express our dedication to the culture and spirit of Liverpool.
