NEW LDP business offerings

LDP logo An exclusive audience of 200 of Liverpool’s leading business movers, shakers and decision makers gathered at the city’s Radisson SAS hotel for a launch breakfast hosted by the Liverpool Daily Post Editor Mark Thomas, at which the new products were unveiled. At the same time, across the city region, a major advertising campaign was launched to promote the new portfolio, under the slogan “LDP Business – With us, you’re in business.”

The LDP Business portfolio includes:

- A free new glossy 100 page business magazine
- A new, free-to-join club for the city region’s business community
- A major new two day business fair to be staged at the city's Echo Arena
- A fresh new look for the Liverpool Daily Post’s unrivalled in-paper business pages
- A weekly radio programme on CityTalk 105.9FM

The package is the biggest demonstration yet of the Liverpool Daily Post’s commitment to bringing its readership the very best of business coverage, how, when and where they need it. At the heart of the coverage is the title’s award winning business team, now expanded to five journalists, under the experienced leadership of LDP Business Editor Bill Gleeson.

Sara Wilde said “The launch of our LDP Business portfolio once again demonstrates Trinity Mirror’s strategic development from established newspaper publisher to a truly multi media organisation here in the North West. The extended LDP Business portfolio will deliver products and services that fulfil the needs of a contemporary city’s thriving business community”.

Liverpool Daily Post Editor Mark Thomas added: “The Liverpool Daily Post is renowned for the strength and authority of its business coverage. Under the LDP Business brand we are pushing that coverage to a wider audience than ever before. With the expansion of Liverpool’s economy, the business community is crying out for this kind of coverage, and we are uniquely positioned to deliver it.”
