Corporate Hospitality Opportunity at ‘Liverpool – The Musical’ the Official 2008 Opening Event.

It’s all about celebrating our great city being European Capital of Culture, and it all starts in the brand new Echo Arena Liverpool on the Kings Dock on Saturday 12th January 2008 with a performance of ‘Liverpool – The Musical’, a specially written piece that will be performed for the first and only time with this fabulous cast.

A Show to Bring the House Down

The line up is impressive, with live performances by the likes of Ringo Starr, Dave Stewart (of Eurythmics fame), Echo and the Bunnymen, Pete Wylie, Ian Brodie and The Christians. The Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra will be performing works from Elgar to Frankie Goes to Hollywood, The Beatles to Stravinsky, in collaboration with No Fakin DJ’s, conducted by Vasily Petrenko.

And if that isn’t enough there will be appearances by poets, singers, aerialists, comedians, construction workers, gardeners and sailors.

A World First
To put the crowning touch to a sensational evening, it’s the first event ever to be held at Liverpool’s 12,000 seat arena.

How Can I Get Involved
The Event is a fully pre-sold ticketed event, and the audience is made up from a diverse range of people, especially ensuring involvement of local communities. The public at large were invited to enter their name in a ballot for tickets, and the allocation was then drawn out of a hat.

The Liverpool Culture Company have a limited number of packages so that the local corporate market can get involved in Liverpool’s Official Opening Event. We have arranged for a gala dinner in Liverpool’s Anglican Cathedral prior to the Opening Event, transport to The Echo Arena Liverpool, best seats in the house and even access to the After Show Party in The Albert Dock. This Event will never happen again, and it is an opportunity to be a part of Liverpool’s history.
