Debbie Ryan Mosaics
In 2002 I graduated in Fine Art, originally as a painter. As a graduate I realised I needed a lot more skills. I went on to do a variety of courses, some in running your own business. I then got a placement with a company that taught me mosaics. After this I went back to working full time in a bookshop. I created my Artwork in my spare time, and then in 2006 decided to go for it, and set up my business.
Quite simply, my personally make my business unique. I am very passionate about what I do, and create. I would like to think that my artwork speaks for itself. I really enjoy making mosaics, and feel very lucky getting up and doing what I do everyday.
I am working on several projects in Liverpool, creating artwork for a new health centre, completing a mosaic walking trail in Halewood, and creating a large mosaic panel with some young people that will be going in the Museum of Liverpool, once opened. Also, I’m hoping to get a large exhibition space to display a series of mosaics that I’ve been working on, for the Liverpool Biennial in September.
